Disclaimer of Liability

There is inherent risk in working with dogs and other animals, including your own pets (hereafter "Pet(s)"). It is important that both you (hereafter "Pet Owner") and I (hereafter "Pet Sitter") fully understand these risks and their potential consequences. Pet Owner and Pet Sitter must communicate frequently and honestly to minimize these risks.

 

Pet Owner is responsible for informing Pet Sitter of any behavioral issues, health issues, allergies, or other concerns related to Pet(s) which could endanger Pet(s), Pet Sitter, or any Third Parties. Failure to disclose this information in writing prior to the start of Service could result in the injury or death of Pet(s), Pet Sitter, or any Third Parties. Therefore, if this information is not disclosed in writing prior to the start of Service, Pet Sitter is not liable for the following:1) injury or illness to Pet(s) which could have been prevented if the information had been known prior to start of Service; 2) injury caused by Pet(s) to themselves, other animals, or Third Parties; or 3) damage caused by Pet(s) to Pet Owner's property or the property of Third Parties.

In addition, Pet Owner is responsible for providing emergency contact information, including veterinary contact information, in writing prior to the start of Service. In case of emergency, medical or otherwise, if this information has not been provided in writing prior to the start of Service, Pet Sitter is not liable for injury, illness, or death of Pet(s) caused by the inability to seek immediate assistance.
